Tussen 1802 en 2020 zien we een duidelijke stijging van de uitstoot van CO2 in België. De
drijvende kracht achter deze stijging is zowel het vervoergebruik, als uitlaatgassen van koeien.
De CO2 bedreigt niet alleen onze gezondheid, maar ook het milieu. We zien rond de periode
van 2010 een duidelijke daling van de hoeveelheid CO2. Dit heeft te maken met de nieuwe
klimaatakkoorden. We moeten ervoor zorgen dat de temperatuur van de aarde niet boven de
2°C stijgt. Dankzij de grafiek kunnen we nu wel stellen dat we al op de goede weg zijn.
De andere afbeelding laat duidelijk zien hoeveel CO2 uitstoot dat de rest van de wereld heeft.
We zien dat verschillende landen al goed bezig zijn, maar de andere landen zullen hun best
nog moeten doen. Groenland, Tsjaad, Centraal – Afrikaanse republiek en Somalië zijn de
landen die maar 11 tot 1300 kiloton uitstoot hebben van CO2.
