Supuso el paso de economía agraria y artesanal a otra basada en industria y producción

Revolución agraria
Cambios en la propiedad de la tierra
Tierra empezó a concentrarse en manos de grandes propietarios. Este procesó se favoreció por
unas leyes de cercamiento aprobadas por parlamento Inglés (enclosures)
Estas medidas perjudicaron a campesinos pobres por lo que se trasladaron a
ciudades
Cambios en el sistema de cultivo
Se utilizó sistema Norfolk que consiste en combinar cultivo de cereales con plantas que sirven de
alimento para ganado
- Aumento superficie cultivada y se producía más
Uso de nuevas máquinas
Nuevos arados, siembra mecánica, segadoras con máquinas de vapor…
Aumento de la población
- Descendió mortalidad gracias a mejora de alimentación y por aumento de las cosechas.
Natalidad se mantuvo alta lo que provocó elevado crecimiento de la población
- Disminución de grandes epidemias
- Progreso en la higiene de las ciudades y medicina
- Mayor nº de trabajadores disponibles, se produjo éxodo rural (traslado masivo de
habitantes del campo a las ciudades)
Desarrollo de las fábricas
Talleres artesanos fueron sustituidos por fábricas
nuevas técnicas
sustituyeron trabajo a mano por máquinas
