hebben voor ons denken; voor encodering van geheugeninformatie. AChE is het
aangrijpingspunt bij de ziekte van Alzheimer (inhibitie van dit enzyme)
Verschil met GABA: bij Ach is er geen heropname meer
Men gaat met deze medicatie inspelen op het cholinerg systeem. Bij Alzheimer zijn de neuronen van
septum en basalis van meynert gedegenereerd waardoor er minder acetylcholine wordt vrijgesteld
men gaat dus inspelen op het enzyme dat instaat voor de metabolisatie (AChE), men gaat dit
blokkeren om zo meer acetylcholine te behouden.
