Unit 7 Mobile Apps Development Part B & C
Introduction:
As a junior programmer, I have been working for an educational charity which supports
young children to develop their Math skills.
I have been asked to develop a mobile app which will help children to improve their mental
arithmetic.
Gantt chart:
I have created a Gantt Chart to monitor the process on the mobile application.

sis of Scenario:
Design
I will be creating a mobile application with 10 questions, using the numbers 1 to 12. There
will not be any negative answers, the application will have to be accessible to children and
have three levels. Level 0 will not have any timer included, level 1 will have a timer included
of 20 seconds and level 2 will have 10 seconds timer. For level 1 and 2 after every 10 and 20
seconds the question will be changing to the next one. The numbers used to generate
questions will be whole numbers and the application should be able to perform addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division questions.
I will design the application using draw.io. I will use the SDLC to show the development
process of the application and I will use flowchart to show how application will work.

Development
I have used the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as the methodology which defines
the processes of the application clearly. It helps to make a high-quality application. I will
create a plan to see how long every stage of creating the application will take. I will be using
Gantt chart to keep the record, I will analyse the requirements to see what will be needed to
produce the app according to the requirements, I will create design and an alternative
design. I will take reviews for my designs so that it can be improved before starting the
implementation. I will implement the design and the coding of it in Kodular Creator. The
maintenance will show how the application will work. I will test the functions of the
applications to meet the requirements.
Identified Requirements:
Application should be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division with whole numbers among 1 to 12.
There should not be any negative answers produced.
The application must have 3 levels.
Each level should contain 10 questions.
Questions should produce points.
App must keep a trace of the points produced.
Level 0 should have no time limits.
Level 1 should have 20 seconds for every question.

Level 2 should have 10 seconds for every question.
The app should include suitable graphics and sound effects.
