A Job description is a document that applicants will receive that shows
them their main responsibilities and duties for the role they are applying
in. The purpose of a job description is that it sets out a purpose for the
job it also it shows where the applicant fits into the organisational
structure, this is vital for the applicant as they know what tasks are set
out for them as well as how their position looks in the hierarchy
structure.
For a trainee manager at Sainsbury’s you will be required to have these 6

A personal specification is the attributes that the employee must have in
order to finish objectives offered by the company. This is a profile of
what personal qualifications the candidate possess, it can show the
training experience as well as educational requirements. The purpose of
a personal specification is that it makes the interviewing process more
refined and streamlined from the start, this is pivotal for the candidate
as they have to meet the requirements that the company expect,
otherwise they do not meet the jobs criteria and will not get it.
The qualifications you are required to have to become a trainee
manager is at least:
4 in Maths

8 attributes/skills you would require to be a store management trainee
at Sainsbury’s:

An application form is a template that employers require job candidates
to fill out, typically previous positions held, and education and contact
information. Application forms are usually completed and submitted
online. Job applications provide job seekers an avenue to express
interest in a position and relay pertinent information about their
qualifications to employers. This is important as the company want to
know what the candidates qualifications to see if it meets their criteria
as well as their personal information as if they are late to work or call in
sick. An application form will usually include the candidate mobile and
home telephone number, email address, if the candidate is seeking a
permanent position, supervisor (parent/guardian), postcode, age and
the candidate’s position. The information listed is for the company’s
purposes only so they have some background information about the
candidate.
Job description is a form of recruitment document that could be used by
Sainsbury’s when it wishes to recruit new employees as it tells the
company if the new employee if they can perform tasks which
Sainsbury’s allocate them as well as where the candidate’s job fits into
the organisation structure. A personal specification is what the
candidate must have in order to undertake the job. The company needs
to see if they have the skills that are required such as confidence and
leadership to become a new employee. A application form is good for a
company to have as it show them their personal information such as
contact number, D.O.B, national insurance and work experience, if a the
candidate has work experience it would be good for Sainsbury’s as they
don’t have to waste money on teaching them how to perform the
requirements that are needed for the job.
The attributes that I will possess at the end of this course and therefore
equip me for this vacancy would include decision making as I will
become more confident when talking to customers and will be able to
guide and help customers when they are needed. I would be able to
work under pressure better as when many customers come into the
store and ask me questions; I can both answer them and do my work
I’ve been told to do, this will make Sainsbury more likely to hire me as I
can treat customers’ needs as well as get on with the instructions that
,have been given. I will possess a key attribute which is teamwork as I will
be working with other employees, which will improve me being more
organised. The attributes that I currently possess and therefore should
be equipped for this vacancy are working under pressure, working
individually and also to an extent teamwork. I can work under pressure
as I worked at my father’s pharmacy and when the shop was busy I had
to do deal with customers in an orderly fashion, this will help me as a
Sainsbury’s trainee manager as I will be patient and will deal with
customers politely. I have worked independently before as I possess
skills such as discipline and the ability to compromise, this will help me
when talking to customers without asking for unnecessary help also I can
get on with tasks set out.
