1. This manual is a self-study assignment that has to be prepared by your before the ZOOM
session with the teacher of the Department of Anatomy & Embryology. You will be asked to
present the powerpoint slides 9 to 39 to each other as indicated in the table below. Remaining
questions can be discussed during that zoom session. In order to make this an effective and
interactive sessions, it is important that you have prepared well.
2. Test your own preparation by doing one of the short self-tests available on Anatomy Tool
(https://anatomytool.org). Use your account from BBS1002 to log on. Or make a new account
with your university email address, if you do not yet have one. You are expected to take one of
these self-tests 24 hours before the Zoom session (teachers will check, whether you did take
the test and achieved the minimum number of points). The teacher can send you to the resit
session, if you did not prepare! You find the test under quizzes, topic microscopy, VM
Reproductive System – Entrance exam. These tests contain 10-16 questions – and you only
have to pass one of them (2 are available).
3. Prepare the manual carefully before starting the plenary zoom session! Be prepared
for all slides! Active participation is required in order have your attendance registered.

Working with this powerpoint
• Download this PPT and save it on your disk. Open this PPT in the normal display (EDIT) mode.
• In the text are underlined links, which connect to a site and grab an image. Activate a link via R-mouse > “Open
Hyperlink”. When more links are present choose the first one as default. In case this site does not work, alternative
image sites are given in orange blocks. Those images are to be opened in the same way.

• Some images can be viewed simultaneously. To do so you need the Olyvia viewer. Log in to student desktop/VMware
Horizon. Open Olyvia viewer via (screen bottom left)
• Click on “view” top left. Then click File > Open > File. Select the right folder and open all .vsi files. If this does not
work open File > Open > File and copy to file name: \\fhmloisrv1501\anatomie$\Olyvia images. Select the folder
asked for. Select “Synchronize” from the taskbar. Split then the images into 2 panels with . Drag the HE
image into the left panel, the others in the right.
To copy an image into PPT in the PC room:
• When part of an image has to be copied, open the snipping tool and click on .
• The selection is stored on the clipboard and can be pasted into the PPT presentation directly.
To copy an image into PPT at another location:
• Place the object to be copied in the center of the screen. Press “Print Screen”; the complete screen image is
dumped onto the clipboard.
• Paste the screen dump in the presentation. Set the PPT presentation at 80% when the image appears too large.
• Crop the part of interest (see below).
To reduce an image:
• When the taskbar “Picture tools” is not open, click on any picture.
• Select the image to be reduced, click the crop symbol and select the area of relevance.
The edited PPT becomes too large; once you are finished reduce its size as follows:
• Click onto a random image in the PPT.
• Click on “Compress Figures” symbol in the “Picture tools” bar, and check:
• Deleat cropped areas of picture.
• E-mail (96 ppi).
• Save the document.
