Histologie: de weefselleer
Weefsel: groep van cellen met dezelfde structuur en functie
Differentiatie: proces waarbij de stamcel de kenmerken van een bepaald celtype krijgt
Primaire weefsels bij zoogdieren:
1) epitheelweefsel: bedekt het lichaamsoppervlak, de organen en de inwendige holtes
- bedekkend epitheel = beschermd de onderliggende weefsels
- klierepitheel = reguleert de absorptie en secretie van stoffen
Kenmerken epitheelweefsel:
– geen doorbloeding & geen extracellulaire matrix
– 1 of meer lagen cellen die dicht op elkaar liggen en verbonden zijn door intercellulaire bindingen
– verbinding met onderliggende weefsels via basale lamina/membraan
Basaal membraan = basale lamina:
- aanhechting voor epitheelcellen
- regulatie van de celdeling van epitheel
- filter voor uitwisseling tussen epitheel- en bindweefsel
Lamina propria (bindweefsel):
- stevigheid
- aanvoer voedingsstoffen voor epitheel
- afvoer voedingsstoffen uit epitheel
