, SPSS opstarten
Laten we er even vanuit gaan dat je SPSS nog nooit hebt opgestart (ga anders verder naar het
volgende kopje). Direct nadat je SPSS hebt opgestart verschijnt er een opstartvenster met
verschillende keuzemogelijkheden.
Open an existing data source kies je als je al een dataset hebt. Wanneer dit is aangevinkt kun je
onder More Files… kiezen als het gewenste bestand er niet bij staat. Nieuw bestand aanmaken? Kies
dan voor Cancel.
SPSS omgeving
Er zijn twee belangrijke vensters in SPSS: de ‘data editor‘ en de ‘viewer’. In de data editor voer je
data en variabelen in en kun je deze bewerken. Dit is het venster waar je standaard in terecht komt
als je SPSS opstart. Met het tweede venster bekijk je de resultaten van je analyses. Deze verschijnt
automatisch als je een analyse hebt uitgevoerd.
De data editor bestaat vervolgens uit twee tabbladen: Data View en Variable View. In de data view
staat, het kan het ook anders, de data. De variable view leent zich om variabelen aan te maken en
aan te passen.
