In this work, I will write a report regarding two different types of care settings.
I'll be telling more about various kinds of abuse and neglect that occur in each
and every day health and social care settings, and how they impact people
physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially, and the multiple ways
people are vulnerable because they may not always be capable of reaching out
or gets the support they require when they are faced with situations that
are harmful to their well being. Whenever caring for persons, I will discuss the
several signals that allow specialists to recognise when abuse and neglect are
happening in daily life, as well as solutions to avoid and lessen it.
Whenever caring in a health and social care, you must be acknowledged of the
personal requirements of the individuals you provide care for and whether
they are being addressed to the fullest best quality. While dealing with
patients, as a health and social care worker, you need to receive the necessary
training that covers all of the indications that contribute to neglect and abuse.
You must be aware of how to avoid, lessen, and detect abuse and neglect, and
also must understand how to deal with it. for example, when you witness
another professional abusing or neglecting their colleague or a patient, as
well as what you must do in their favour, in order to meet the diverse needs to
prevent it from occurring afterwards.
In this presentation, I will discuss what it means to have a duty of care in
health and social care contexts. Waltham-Drop-in-Center and Firs home are
two possible scenarios. These case studies will be linked to the consequences
of duty of care and why it is critical to adhere to them. I'll also talk about
complaints and techniques, balancing rights of the individual, abuse and how
to react to it, and reducing the risk of abuse and neglect. Everything will be
connected to the case studies.

What is duty of care? –
A legal and professional obligation to protect individuals when they're in your

neglecting to act in a way that harms them, and behaving within your
capabilities with no taking on anything beyond your capabilities. Your legal
duty of care as a health care professional extends to individuals you assist, you,
your teammates, and anyone else in your work environment. If you work in a
nursing home, for instance, your duty of care to upkeep employees and
cleaners is just as essential as it is to the patients.
Duty of care in the health and social care sectors include encouraging wellness
and ensuring that persons and care patients are safe from damage, abuse, and
injury. This is in relation to the 2014 Care Act. You can only do what you've
been taught to do under the duty of care.
Principles of duty of care
