There are many different types of information which include internal, external, formal, informal,
written and verbal.
Internal information can be defined as the information that is used within the business with
employees or staff in a business. An example of this type of information is when the finance
department at Alton Towers share key financial data with potential and current investors and
shareholders in Alton Towers. External information can be defined as the information that is used
outside of a business for third parties like media or for advertisements. An example of such type of
an information is signs in Alton Towers highlighting where the rides are situated or advertisements
posters for new rides that have been introduced around the theme park.
Another type of information is Formal information which can be highlighted as information that is
portrayed in a professional manner. An example of this type of information can be a letter from

Written information can be defined as the information that is handwritten or inscribed using a
