I am delighted to inform the young people living in Makhosini and nearby areas on behalf of the
Ithemba Lethu Youth Development Programme. Our organization is offering Vocational Skills
Programmes such as Carpentry, Building, ICT (Computer Programmes), and Small-Scale Business
Entrepreneurship to unemployed youths and those who were not able to get into Colleges or
Universities. We encourage interested individuals to apply for enrolment.
The Ithemba Lethu Youth Development Programme is offering vocational skills courses such as
Carpentry, Building, ICT (Computer Programmes), and Small-Scale Business Entrepreneurship to
individuals aged between 18-25. The courses will be available on a yearly basis, and applications will
open on January 5th, 2023. The first semester, which will accommodate approximately 1000 students in
various fields of vocational skills courses, will commence on June 1st, 2023. The Department of Youth,
Sport, and Culture recently approved the skills programme in partnership with Global Care, a non-profit
organization that will provide funding and set up equipment and infrastructure in the ten centers
identified around Makhosini. The minimum qualification for these certificate programmes is grade 12,
and priority will be given to unemployed and underprivileged individuals.
Students who meet the requirements will receive full sponsorship until they complete their studies,
which will cover tuition, stationery, food, and accommodation. The programmes will be conducted on a
full-time basis, and applicants should be willing to attend classes from Monday to Friday without fail.
Successful candidates will be notified through telephone, SMS, or email, and those accepted will be
requested to visit their local enrolment center to complete their registration.
