Er zijn 2 soorten stoma’s voor ontlasting
- Colostoma de uitgang is aangebracht op de
dikke darm
- Ileostoma de uitgang is aangebracht op de
dunne darm
Een stoma kan tijdelijk of blijvend zijn:
- Een tijdelijke stoma wordt aangelegd om een
darmdeel rust te geven
- Een blijvend stoma wordt aangelegd als
bijvoorbeeld heel de dikke darm moet worden
weggehaald
Er is ook nog een ander soort stoma, namelijk:
- Urostoma dit is een urinestoma
- Er wordt een verbinding gemaakt tussen de
ureters en een stukje darm dat in de huid
wordt gehecht
Colostoma
- Een colostoma is een kunstmatige uitgang van de dikke darm in de huid van de buik
- Moet worden aangelegd als de ontlasting het lichaam niet via de anus kan verlaten
- Stom heeft geen kringspier die de ontlasting binnenhoudt
- Een colostoma kan op verschillende delen van de dikke darm worden aangesloten,
hoog is de ontlasting dunner, laag zit je bij de endeldarm en is de ontlasting dikker
Een stoma kan
- Enkelloops (eindstandig) heeft 1 opening, er komt alleen ontlasting naar buiten,
mensen met een eindstandig stoma kunnen aandrang ervaren.
- Dubbelloops Dan wordt het slijm apart van de ontlasting afgescheiden.
Dubbelloops stoma’s komen meestal voor als tijdelijke stoma. Kan eruit zien als 1
stoma met 2 openingen of als 2 aparte stoma’s.
