DIVISION:-HSC
A oneshot revision on the chapter solutions is a one shot revision on
solutions. we are going to discuss about the conceptual part that is
the theoretical part in the next session. We will be covering all the
numerical part of this chapter.. A solution consists of two major
components, one solute and one solvent. Whenever we have
different number of salutes. How do we classify the solutions There
should be some different names. so that is the important part where
you have to pay attention that you can only have one solvent but
one or more than one salute. Yes so I hope you get this this is very
important my dear students so you can mark it as important..
concentration is the expression of how much solute is dissolved in a
solvent.. salute is the reactive part and the solvent provides the
medium for the reaction. the amount. of salute in a solution is
represented by the concentration of the solution. the most
important concentration term is molarity..
molarity is the number of moles of salute present per liter of the
solution. If I if I dissolve a solute and I dissolve one mole of it right,
then I would say I have 1 mole of solute in one liter of solution, So
the molarity would be equal to one molar. So basically, it just
explains you that if you have one liter. of solution, then how many
moles are present in it perfect yes ma'am. molarity is defined as
how many moles of solute are dissolved in one kg of solvent..
molality is defined by small m always whenever you see small m
just understand that it is talking about molality. molality defines the
same way we we understood molarity. the number of moles of
salute present per kg of solvent is not solution it is solvent. My dear
students do n't get confused okay now we. Are going to derive the
formula of molality. If we are given some expression, then how are
we going to decode it, We have to understand that as well yes so if I
tell you you have you have three molal small m vinod molar. three
molal Naoh solution means that you have three moles nuh because
here any oh is what naoh is my solute..
mass by volume percentage tells me that how many grams of your
salute is present in 100 ml of solution.. volume of solution in
milliliters is the mass of solute present in grams.. volume by volume
