Compuesto por: epitelio escamoso estratificado queratinizado (la queratina hace que sea + fuerte e
impermeable)
Avascular: no tiene vasos sanguíneos (SI TIENE NERVIOS)
Contiene distintos tipos de células:
- Queratinocitos (90%): forman la queratina
- Melanocitos: producen la melanina
