Supply chain = een netwerk van activiteiten om afgewerkte producten aan klanten te leveren
• Leveranciers leveren grondstoffen en componenten
• Fabrikant zet deze materialen om in afgewerkte producten
• Producten via distributiecentra en/of groothandelaren distribueren naar detailhandelaren
• Detailhandelaar verkoopt afgewerkte producten aan de eindklant

• Tussen alle leden van de toeleveringsketen: leveranciers, intern, transport, derden, ...
