This is the second assignment of Unit 3 Using Social Media in Business. Note: My business might be different from yours, but you can use it as an example. My business idea is related to IT, which Pearson asked for.

Introduction-
The purpose of my business is-It’s an IT qualification topic. I was told that I
had to create an entrepreneur's new business idea related to IT because IT is
important these days, it makes our life easier. I had limitations that had to
be related to modern technology. This product is developed by my group.
And we gave it the name “Smart Cupboard”. We all came up with different
ideas and then we decided this was the best idea and it’s related to IT. My
main objective for this product is to boost sales of the product. In order to
achieve this, I will have to build a brand online. To sell my product
successfully I will use cross platform marketing, engaging users all over the
internet on some of the most popular social media such as- Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter and YouTube is the most effective one.
I will mainly focus on my target audience and my target audience is the age
between 25-50 years old. And Instagram and Facebook has 25 -34 years
biggest demographics group on social media. Which is between my
product’s target audience as well. I will focus on creating something
interesting for my audience so they will want to see and want to know more
about it. I will make sure the adverts I made are related to the older audience
as it mostly for them.
Furthermore, to meet the business requirements - as we are new, we would
like to attract new customers. When looking at other businesses I see that
most businesses use a range of different social media platforms. At present I
don’t have a social media account but I will be creating social media
accounts for my business.
Introduction to the business that the social media is going to be created for
I think the best features of the social media account I will be using for my
business will be Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. As my target audience are
between the ages of 25-50 years old. And most people in this age group use
social media. Once I have set up the social media accounts we will be active
on social media and post on different social media sites.
I can start interacting with our customers when I have set up the twitter
account. I can use that to start communicating with my target audience by
the use of Twitter. Facebook, I can use messenger to chat with our
,customers, same for Instagram. I can use Instagram DM. As I don’t have
any existing, no one can communicate with us but Once it's created our
customers will be able to comment on posts and react to different posts on
any social media. Once I start posting on social media I do Q&A, quizzes
going on Live also I can do polls. This could be a start to interacting with our
customers and they would also start interacting with us on social media.
What are the aims and objectives for the business, how is social media
going to help the business to meet these aims?

Reach 5000 followers on instagram in the first year
● In order to get 5000 followers on instagram I have to Advertise- by
posting image, videos and focus on content
● Promote instagram on other social media
● Post relevant and engaging contents (Content link with reduce waste,
save money, save time)
● Use hashtags that are related to our business or our product.
● Set up instagram shop, where if we post any image and they like it
they can buy from our instagram shop
● Working with influencers to make our product more recognizable and
get more customers and followers.
Get 1000+ website visitors in 4 months
● Set up a website to market and sell the product
● Promote our website through our social media to achieve our goal for
number of visitors
● On social media use website links so customers get more information
about the product and we will gain more website traffic.
● Website traffic- Use keywords/ phrases- that a customers might
search about our product

, How does the business plan to use social media? Give examples. Make sure

My main social media are Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. These are the
main social media accounts that most people use. I have chosen Facebook
because Facebook has a range of different features. As a business I can
advertise on Facebook and there is a choice of advertising on Facebook you
would have to pay but the advantage of this is that you can send targeted
adverts and to the potential customers for example my business is based in
Wales I can pay for an advert that advertise in Wales and the surrounding
location. Also Facebook has the options for going on Live. It's called
FACEBOOK LIVE. These features can help promote my business. Also on
facebook I can link my other social media accounts.
Overall on every social media I can promote my business by using images,
polls, quizzes and competition. One of the other social media I have chosen
was Instagram. It has similar features as well but also I have chosen this
because this platform is an image platform and you are able to post images,
be able to post reels, IGTV videos, going on live, story highlights, tag,
mention using hashtags.
Afterall using all these social media platforms effectively we will be able to
reach more people. These platforms will work alongside each other to
promote the service we offer by Smart cupboard, so potentially by doing
these we will get a lot of new customers and be able to target our audience.
