Community-based training is effective in enlightening the community on different life aspects. It is effective in helping the community to relate with personal, familiar, or available happenings in the community. Depending on the trainer and the mode of training chosen, community training is advantageous in the retention of the knowledge, acquisition of new skills, and enhanced preparedness in life on different aspects. Lectures, fieldwork, project task, trips, and lectures are some training techniques that can be used. However, the effectiveness of the training method should be considerate of the educational level, the venue where training is to take place, proficiency to communicate in the local language, and terms and condition of the service. Otherwise, effective training may not take place (New Zealand digital library, n.d). Therefore, there is a need to be cautious that the training is impactful. This paper focuses on analyzing the teaching plan, epidemiological importance of the training on smoking, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the training, and response from the training.
