Samenvatting H9 - AppelmanVoor het inrichten van kwaliteitsprocessen is de Deming Circle veel gebruikt. De
Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA)-cirkel is generiek toepasbaar en kan periodiek doorlopen
warden om alle activiteiten te verbeteren en te borgen. De PDCA-cirkel kar warden
toegepast binnen productieprocessen, verkoopprocessen, marketingprocessen,
afdelingsprocessen, persoonlijke processen en ook binnen beveiligingsprocessen.
De kwaliteitscirkel van Deming is een creatief hulpmiddel voor kwaliteitsmanagement
en probleemoplossing ontwikkeld door William Edwards Doming. De cirkel beschrijft
4 activiteiten die op alle verbeteringen in organisaties van toepassing zijn. De 4
activiteiten zorgen voor een betere kwaliteit. Het cyclische karakter garandeert dat de
kwaliteitsverbetering continu onder de aandacht is. De 4 activiteiten zijn:
PLAN: Kijk naar de huidige werkzaamheden en stel een plan voor de verbetering
van deze werkzaamheden op. Stel voor deze verbetering doelstellingen/beleid vast.
DO: Voerdegeplandeverbeteringuitin een gecontroleerde proefopstelling, ofwel
implementeer het beleid.
CHECK: Meet het resultaat van de verbetering en vergelijk deze met de
oorspronkelijke situatie en toets deze aan de vastgestelde doelstellingen.
ACT: Afkorting voor ACTUALIZE. Actualisatie van de planning. Stel (eventueel)
Het security managementsysteem (SMS): Het security managementsysteem bevat
in de basis de PDCA-cirkel van Deming. De lichte vlakken geven het kwaliteitsproces
weer dat niet eenmalig, maar over de jaren, repeterend wordt doorlopen.
