Please be aware that you need an approval for the article before you can
send in an essay! Failure to send in the article or essay before their
respective deadlines (without a valid reason) will result in a maximum
grade of 5.5 Minimum mark of 4.5 required ! Possibility to rewrite the
Essay.


Article(s) assignment 1:
- 10% final mark

, - Three Article assignments: For each of the Assignments an article
will be made available to you.
- The articles will be about (a) specific element(s) of tourism and/or
leisure accompanied by one or more questions. These questions
relate to the manner in which concepts and theories from this
course are applied (or could be applied) to leisure and tourism and
ask for a critical evaluation of the article.

Article(s) assignment 2:
- Carefully read the articles and (individually) write down answers to
the questions. You are however allowed (and even stimulated) to
talk to the other students about your answers. The questions will be
accompanied with more specific requirements on the answers
(length, concepts to use, etc.).
- During the lectures the articles and the questions will also be
discussed. Everyone is expected to actively participate in the
discussion. No attendance – Mark = zero .

Article(s) assignment 3:
- You can check the week-by-week overview for the deadlines of the
three Article Assignments. The Assignments need to be handed in
(hard copy) during the lectures of the respective weeks.
- The Article Assignments will be graded by the lecturer of the tutorial.
The overall grade you receive for this part of the course is the
average of the grades of the assignments you have handed in.
- There is no possibility to rewrite any of the Article Assignments.
