Question 1: She is a 48 years old woman named Helen Jones. Is currently employed.
Negative lifestyle choices: Cigarettes/Government recommends that no amount of

Stress: She has high levels of stress(cortisol), has no idea of how to deal with the stress so
it is the repcitrated in her unhealthy lifestyle. Has to undergo massive workload on a daily
basis as a receptionist, it can be linked to why she has such a high blood pressure and
obesity. However if she was to participate in physical activity then she would be more likely
to feel better due to the hormone (serotonin) as it drastically decreases stress.
High levels of stress increase her risk of a stroke. I think she might benefit from speaking to
a therapist/completing yoga/using relaxation techniques.
Alcohol consumption: She consumes 18 units of alcohol whereas the recommended
weekly dose is 14 units trying to decrease this should help to avoid further health issues. Her
high blood pressure at 160/95mmHg is caused by alcohol. It should be at
120/80mmHg, (otherwise it'll lead to a heart attack or ruptured blood vessels)drinking
the amount of alcohol she does will increase her chances of getting CHD. However the
drinking could be a deterrent for the stress she is experiencing.Her high alcohol consumption
will increase chances of brain damage, poor skin, cancer and depression.
Weight: It is indicated that she is overweight due to her BMI being at 36 which is drastically
bad for a 48 year old woman as it should be between 18.5-24.9 BMI. Another indicator for
her being overweight as her waist to hip ratio is at 0.93 whereas it should be at 0.9.
However her bpm doesn't work within the healthy range. She should change her attempt
to participate in physical activity or change her lifestyle/diet. Helen currently consumes no
supplements or vitamins however she would benefit if she did. Consuming high amounts
of fats and sugar will mean that she gains weight quickly. Her diet is identified to be
unhealthy by the government consuming 2,5 L of water per day contributes towards the
maintenance of water level and blood flow. She also consumes a high amount of
caffeine. It is recommended that she has 400 milligrams. Should consume 2000 calories
and have a diet with protein fish carbohydrates although it should be noted that she is
not receiving enough lipozene meaning that she's more than likely to catch an illness.
Reducing salt intake will lead to her not having high blood pressure or hypertension.
Physical activity: It should be noted that she needs to increase her activity levels by
completing 150 mins of strenuous activity a week. She is more than likely to feel the
hormone endorphin which is linked to happiness. The NHS should be able to allocate their
money more efficiently rather than spending it on her for something she's caused.She could
have a standing desk.

Participation in physical activity: she wants to work towards a sedentary lifestyle
meaning that as she currently doesn't workout she needs to be more active to avoid such
things like heart disease clogged up arteries, type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure.
She doesn't have as much free time as she works a 8 hr shift however during her breaks
she should try to go on walks through the local park or cycle to work rather than
driving . She may benefit from having 2 weight bearing activities as it will allow her to reach
her goals.
-She may feel self conscious and start comparing herself towards others which ruins self
confidence, she will try to find a personal trainer for when shes free in order to get rid of that
feeling of anxiety however such things like bad weather and a lack of energy could impact
participation levels
Stress: Highlighting that she's very stressed this can be managed by completing physical
activity, positive self talk, time management and breathing techniques these will contribute
towards healthy levels of stress. She will be able to stay within a strict deadline and self-talk
will build up self belief and confidence, promote the usage of dopamine as she will be
