● Burr's Bakery's first shop opened its doors in Chester city centre in 2015.
● Burr's Bakery is a chain of bakeries that bakes a wide selection of bagels with a
range of fillings and sells them in its specialty shops.
● When the Chester shop initially opened it was owned solely by Owen.
● Isaac invested £500 000 for a 50% share of the business.(franchiser)
● Staff turnover increased by 28% in 2021-2022 from 9.3% in 2017-2018
● Customer’s satisfaction rate decreased by 28% from 2015.

Burr's Bakery first opened in Chester city centre in 2015. It was founded by Owen Burt, a
trained baker. Owen had no previous management experience, but he was very talented,
charismatic, hardworking and had a clear vision for the business. Owen was passionate
about high-quality products and instilled this into his staff during their induction training. Due
to the success of the bakery Owen wanted to grow and expand, he did so by receiving
investment from Isaac who became an active partner with 50% share as he invested
£500,000. Isaac has no bakery experience and his expertise lies within consultancy.
