Samenvatting
In dit hoofdstuk komen de meest voorkomende en relevante onderwerpen aan bod die te maken hebben met de
bloedvaten en bloeddruk. Voor wat betreft de bloedvaten is daarbij een indeling gemaakt naar anatomie (arteriën
en venen), waarbij de arteriële aandoeningen nog verder onderverdeeld zijn naar aandoeningen van de
kransslagaders en ziektebeelden horend bij de overige slagaders. Atherosclerose is ‘vaatoverschrijdend’ en wordt
als eerste besproken.
