a. Autotrophic = complex organic molecules from simple inorganic + energy source
Photoautotrophic – photosynthesis: energy = sunlight
plants + some protoctista + some bacteria
Chemoautotrophic – chemosynthesis: energy = from exergonic chemical reactions
