- Het niet plegen van FFP (falsification, fabrication and plagiarism)
- Verantwoording
- Onafhankelijkheid en gelijkberechtiging
- Professioneel engagement
- Ook de manier waarop we naar andere onderzoekers kijken. Veel van de
controle die er gebeurd op wetenschappelijk onderzoek wordt gedaan door
andere onderzoekers. De peer evaluation is hierbij heel belangrijk, in de zin
dat andere kritisch kijken naar ons onderzoek. De peer review zorgt ervoor
dat we kritisch kijken naar de resultaten van andere. Het repliceren van
andere hun onderzoek, nog voordat het gepubliceerd is, is uiteraard ook iets
wat niet toegelaten is.

- Dit toont dat wetenschappelijk onderzoek correct is uitgevoerd, en ook
belangrijk genoeg is
- Een van de belangrijkste dingen bij een tijdschrift is de impact factor. Dit is
een breuk, teller is het aantal artikels dat geciteerd wordt van het tijdschrift en
de noemer is het aantal artikels dat verschijnt in het tijdschrift. Hoe meer
artikels geciteerd worden in een tijdschrift, hoe hoger de impact factor. Als
een artikel geciteerd wordt betekent het dus dat andere mensen jou
onderzoek belangrijk vinden.

falsification, plagiarism, misrepresentation (= onderzoek zodanig voorstellen dat het
belangrijker wordt dan dat het eigenlijk is) or other practices that deviate from the
principles of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Research

Misconduct in research
- Inappropriate development of research protocols.
