Social Media platform or social networking websites are a mobile or internet-based platform used to
share and create content for people to see and interact with online. It can also be to promote
businesses, including any profiles or accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and
YouTube.

People can use social media to grow their own profile and promote their products to people to buy.
Social media has evolved into an online communication tool consisting of businesses, communities,
organisations, and individuals, which allow them to build relationships by sharing opinions, thoughts
and feeling people would want to express and let other people know about. It is especially important
for business in promoting their products and services as consumers can directly engage with big or
small companies, which gives them almost a one-to-one interaction and offers a more personal
approach to customers which could improve their opinions on a business. Social media, especially in
the current era, is especially important for a business in promoting their products and services as it
builds awareness around them which means it would attract more people and this automatically
promotes their products. There are many types of ways businesses can use social media for their
business and we will discuss this later.

videos and briefly describing it. This would hopefully create a community in which people would buy
their products. The business should post fun and eye-catching content so that people would be
bored and swipe away from their post. If it is a good post, people would retweet, comment, share
and like the post which increase customer interaction and build up a bigger community and this
would also in turn make the business have a better brand image. Businesses can do this by including
polls which make people interact with the post more and can use hashtags so when users click on it,
the tweet will be in the hashtags. They could also include special promotions such as ‘50% off’ which
