Motivatie van mijn boekkeuze
Voorheen had ik kennisgemaakt met maar één werk van Harry Mulisch, namelijk De
aanslag. Deze heb ik in mijn derde jaar behandeld in de klas van mevrouw Merkus. Om
eerlijk te zijn, stond het verhaal me totaal niet aan en hierdoor associeerde ik telkens de
naam ‘Mulisch’ met saaie lessen tijdens het vak Nederlands. Toen ik op zoek ging naar
boeken om te lezen voor mijn dossier, vond ik dat ik van mezelf nog één verhaal van
Mulisch moest lezen, om hem nog een ‘kans te geven’. Over De procedure wordt
beloofd dat het de lezer aangrijpt en meesleept, daarom heb ik het gekozen.
