, Purpose:
The purpose of the laboratory experiment 1 was to help the students to improve
and develop their micro pipetting skills with accuracy and precision. In this
experiment, the students will learn how to proper set up their micro pipette
according to the required measurement. The experiment will also teach the student
how to operate and read a UV spectrophotometer to measure the absorbance of the
solutions.

Qualitative Analysis:
During the experiment, the students observe that as the concentration of dye
increases, the sample measurement and color increases. Meaning, as the students
add more bromothymol blue dye on the solution, the lighter it absorbs causing the
increase of absorbance values in the spectrophotometer.
