De eerste belangrijke vraag is: drinken de jongeren in Nederland wel? Anders hoeven we
natuurlijk niets te doen / geen beleid te hanteren.
Vroegtijdig drinken
13 jaar afgelopen maand = 11% (was 19%)
15 jaar binge drinken = 72% (was 40%)
Het onderzoek begon in 2005, met als aanleiding het alarmerend hoog alcohol gebruik onder
de jongeren in Nederland. In die tijd was het heel normaal dat je op je 12e al alcohol dronk,
nu ligt de gemiddelde leeftijd op 17,3.
Minister Hoogervorst (januari 2006): “Nederlandse jongeren zijn de zuipschuiten van
Europa.”
Is alcohol een drug?
Ja, want als het nu ontwikkeld zou worden, had het nooit op de markt mogen komen door de
toxische eigenschappen.
Is dat erg?
Als jongeren veel zouden sporten zou het minder erg zijn, maar door de schadelijke
gevolgen moet er wel verandering komen.
