Antoine de Saint Exupéry fue un escritor, ilustrador
y piloto francés, es el autor del clásico de la
literatura «El principito», escrito en 1943. Nació en
Lyon, Francia, el 29 de junio de 1900. Fue el tercer
hijo del conde Saint-Exupéry y de la condesa
Marie Fascolombe, una familia aristocrática
empobrecida. Estudió en colegios religiosos de
Suiza.
Se convirtió en piloto civil y teniente adjunto de la
reserva. En 1926 fue admitido en el Aéropostale,
donde comenzó su carrera como piloto de línea,
volando entre Toulouse, Casablanca y Dakar. En
los años 30, Exupéry trabajó como piloto de
carreras para Air France y como reportero para
Paris-Soir.
