2D Graphics
Avengers End Game movie poster-
The purpose of this poster is to promote and advertise Avengers end game movie. Also to
persuade them to watch the movie. With the use of both writing and images, it gives an eye-
catching, effective message that represents the movie. It makes the movie more interesting.
Also the main target audience would be the fan of Marvel movies because the movie is by
Marvel also the target audience is over 13 years old because you can see the characters in
, the poster have samurai swords, laser guns which means that there will be fighting scenes
where children aged under 13 may be scared or disturbed by some scenes in Endgame.
I think it meets its requirements because the poster looks really attractive and it advertises
the movie. The graphics design of the poster stands out because of the colour scheme that
has been used here; they've used a purple colour for the background to make it stand out
with the character's costume. Also the title stands out because the title is different colour.
They’ve made the poster look actioned and eye-catching by using different swords with
every character. Also the image looks like they are about to fight which catches the
audience's attention. This stands out and looks really nice. The design and the layout makes
this poster and meets the purpose. Also the poster is informing who is starring in the film
they’ve used a few main characters images as well.
On the other hand the poster was made for their audience. I think they know how it will
impact on audience usability and accuracy. Using this example, they've chosen the exact
sentence with the movie name only in the big font, which makes it easier for the audience to
identify the film. And also it was clear.
Movie posters are considered intellectual property. Because they are covered by copyright
law. There are several pieces of legislation that apply to graphic designers. They cover
areas such as copyrighting and design regulations.
That means they are limited in how they would use them in videos or by creating similar
images to promote their own entertainment product. Additionally, An artist has taken a
concept and used their energy and creativity to develop an original design. That defines
intellectual property. Intellectual property can have more than one owner and it can be
bought and sold to individuals or businesses to promote. Also the copyright laws protect their
work and stop others from using it without their knowledge or permission. You automatically
get copyright protection when you create something original such as an illustration or a
photograph.
Also, Usually, posters are used for advertising, so you cannot use copyrighted images
because they are for commercial use and not for personal use. Copyrighted images are
images owned by someone else that you do not have the right to use.
Additionally, According to the data protection act of 1998, companies had to follow a few
rules, which included keeping the user's data safe, allowing the user to change it, since the
information they put on there can be changed anytime.
Representation and applications of 2D:
In this poster, colour pixels are used to build an image using raster images. The closer you
zoom in, the more apparent the pixelation. The more an image is zoomed or resized, the
clearer it appears.Rendering a raster graphic consists of a two-dimensional grid made up of
rows and columns of tiny pixels, each of which carries one or more bits of information based
on how detailed the image is. More pixels within a unit area means higher resolution and
quality.
