Chapter 2 the research enterprise in psychology
The research enterprise in psychology is focused on understanding human behavior and mental processes. Psychologists use a variety of research methods, including experiments, surveys, observations, and case studies, to investigate topics such as developmental psychology, social psychology, cognitive psychology, and clinical psychology. In order to conduct research, psychologists must follow ethical guidelines and obtain informed consent from study participants. The findings of psychological research are used to inform clinical practice, education, public policy, and other fields. Overall, the research enterprise in psychology plays a critical role in advancing our understanding of the human mind and behavior.
