, Het ademhalingsstelsel bestaat naast keel en neus, uit de luchtpijp met vertakkingen naar de linder
en de rechter long, de longen en ademhalingsspieren. De vertakkingen vanuit de luchtpijp naar de
longen noem je de bronchi. Je hebt de luchtpijp en de longen nodig om te kunnen ademen. Het
ademhalen is afwisselend in en uit ademen. Bij de inademing door je neus of mond komt lucht via je
keelholte strottenhoofd, luchtpijp,en luchtpijptakken in je longen en uiteindelijk longblaasjes
terecht. Lucht bestaat onder andere uit zuurstof. De zuurstof wordt via de longblaasjes opgenomen
in het bloed. Bij de uitademing wordt koolzuurgas, een afvalstof van zuurstof dat via het bloed in de
longen terechtkomt, aan de omgeving afgegeven. Dit gebeurd via de omgekeerde weg van
longblaasjes, luchtpijptakken, luchtpijp, strottenhoofd, en keelholte naar buiten.
Luchtpijp:
Je luchtpijp is een buis van elf centimeter en van binnen bekleed met slijmvlies met veel trilhaartjes.
Je luchtpijp is opgebouwdnuit hoefijzervormige kraakbeenringen. Deze kraakbeenkingen
voorkomen dat je luchtpijp dichtslaat of wordt afgekneld. Het slijmvlies is zeer gevelig. Zodra stof,
een slijmporp of een vreemd voorwerp in de luchtpijp komt, ontstaat er een hhoestprikkel. Door te
hoesten verwijder je stof of een vreemd voorwerp. De trilharen transorteren het via de keelholte
weer naar buiten
