Congruentie en Prodrop:
Er is in veel talen een relatie tussen het soort congruentie (arm of rijk), en de mogelijkheid om persoonlijke
voornaamwoorden weg te laten:
- Als een taal rijke congruentie heeft, kan je de pers. Voornaamw. Weglaten.
- Als een taal arme congruentie heeft kan dit niet.
-In sommige talen met rijke congruentie moet je de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden weglaten, behalve als je nadruk
bedoelt (bijvoorbeeld in het Spaans, Italiaans).
-In sommige talen met rijke congruentie mag je de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden weglaten, maar het moet niet
(bijvoorbeeld in het Iers). In deze talen mag je de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden dus weglaten, maar je mag ze er
dus ook bij zetten, zonder betekenisverschil.
Prodrop in de NGT:
• De NGT heeft rijke congruentie.
• Ook in de NGT mag je in zinnen met congruentie de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden weglaten.
• Net als in gesproken talen is er dus in de NGT een relatie tussen rijke congruentie en de mogelijkheid om
persoonlijke voornaamwoorden weg te laten!
• Persoonlijke voornaamwoorden in de NGT: INDEXen!
• In de NGT mag je de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden weglaten, maar het moet niet: je mag de INDEXen er
ook wel bij gebruiken, zonder betekenisverschil. Het is dus optioneel, niet verplicht.
