Synovia
- Synovia wordt door synoviale cellen in het synoviale membraan gemaakt
- Synovia is een filtraat van bloed waar vervolgens bepaalde bestanddelen aan toegevoegd
worden om het viskeus te maken.
- Proteoglycanen (PG) en Glycosaminoglycanen (GAG)
- Functies: smering, schokabsorptie, voeden van het kraakbeen
Kraakbeen
- Haalt zijn voedingsstoffen uit het synovia
- Heeft geen eigen bloedvoorziening
- Is niet geïnnerveerd→als het kapot is voel je niks
- Bij bewegen komt er synovia in het gewricht en wordt kraakbeen gestimuleerd
Artrose (osteoarthritis)
- Symptomen van de patiënt (o.a. pijnklachten, crepitaties, afname ROM)
o Synoviale gewrichten
o Degeneratie van het kraakbeen
o Onderliggende bot komt bloot te liggen (pijn)
o Osteofyten (crepitaties, afname ROM)
