Samenvatting
Op de markt komt door het spel van vraag en aanbod een marktevenwicht tot stand. Daar komt een
evenwichtsprijs (pe) en -hoeveelheid (qe) tot stand waar de aangeboden hoeveelheid gelijk is aan de
gevraagde hoeveelheid.
De vraag- en aanbodcurve stellen we voor aan de hand van deze vergelijkingen:
- vraagvergelijking: p = -a * qv + b
- aanbodvergelijking: p = a * qa + b
Zowel de vraag- als aanbodvergelijking zijn eerstegraadsvergelijkingen zodat je slechts twee
coördinaten nodig hebt om ze te tekenen in een grafiek.
Het marktevenwicht is het snijpunt van de vraag- en aanbodcurve. Wiskundig kun je dat bepalen
door de vraagvergelijking gelijk te stellen aan de aanbodvergelijking.
Afleiding evenwichtshoeveelheid:
vraag = aanbod
m -a * q + b = a * q + b
Daaruit bepaal je de evenwichtshoeveelheid q.
Afleiding evenwichtsprijs:
Aangezien bij het marktevenwicht vraag gelijk is aan aanbod, kun je de gevonden
evenwichtshoeveelheid invullen in de vraag- en/of aanbodvergelijking.
mp = -a * q + b EN/OF p = a * q + b
Een vraagschok is een plotse gebeurtenis waardoor de vraag verandert. Dat kan een gevolg van een
verandering van het inkomen, een belastingverhoging… zijn. Dan verandert ook de oorspronkelijke
vraagvergelijking. Een aanbodschok is een plotse gebeurtenis waardoor het aanbod verandert. Dan
komt er een nieuw marktevenwicht tot stand. Dat komt ook tot uiting in een nieuwe vraag – of
aanbodvergelijking.
