1.Well, a toxic gpitre is caised due to the excess secretion on the Thyroid Hormone. A person
with toxic goitre sweats profusely because excess Thyroid hormine increases thechlorigenic
effect and thus increasing the metabolism of that person and due to this increased metabolism the
body temperature of person will increase. The hypothalamus compensates this increased body
temperature by stimulating the sweat glands and therby leads to the profuse sweating in response
to the increased body temperature due to hypersecretion of the thyroid hormone.
2.The action of a peptide hormone is similar to the action of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine
is similar in a way that none of them could enter the target cells and they bind to the surface
receptors of the cell instead and there they activate the secondary messengers.
