Introduction
1. Introduction - This plan will include everything needed for me to create and
maintain social media accounts for M&M Computers. This will include all the
information needed, such as the client's requirements, aims, and target
audience. As well as how we plan to create and publish content, methods of
developing online communities, and finally a social media policy that must be
followed at all times.

2. Overview of the Business - Since being founded, M&M Computers has built
up a reputation for commitment, efficiency and expertise in providing
customer service and technical support to their customers. The business
operates in the computer hardware market in which they have gained
phenomenal experience in selling computer systems over a 10 year (and
counting) period.




Business Requirements
1. Business Requirements - After extensive research and discussions with Matt
and Marie, we have determined that promotion through social media best fits
their needs, which is due to the fact that they will be able to use a variety of
platforms to advertise and raise awareness of their businesses and brand.
Furthermore, using social media offers more benefits than other traditional
promotion alternatives, such as TV or newspaper advertising. One of the
benefits of using social media is that M&M Computers will be able to
communicate directly with their customers in a simple way, which could allow
them to further build up their trustful reputation with customers. Additionally,
most social media platforms (e.g. Facebook) offer data analysing / analytics
services which allow businesses to collect quantitative data which can be
used for their market research and can be considered when making future
business decisions.

,2. Business Aims - M&M Computers aim is to use social media to create a
strong online presence and brand. One of the ways they plan to do this is
through ensuring that engaging content is posted regularly tailored to their
target audience, such as regular posts to do with the latest hardware and
computer technology to ensure that they maximise their economic value and
post relevant content for their target audience. This includes including
hashtags and trends in new posts and offering discount codes and coupons to
increase user engagement.

3. Target Audience - After further extensive research, we have come to the
conclusion that the M&M Computers target audience is both males and
females between the ages of 18 to 34 who have an income of over £25,000.
This is due to PCs being in high demand by all genders, especially to play
video games where, according to statista.com, 55% of ‘gamers’ are male and
45% are female.




4. Social Media Sites - We have also determined that one of the social media
platforms best suited to the clients needs is Facebook. This is due to the fact
that Facebook has over 1 billion users, which are active every day and over
800 million of these active users interact with the posts on the platform. As
well as this, 56% of Facebook's active users identify as male (448,000,000
users) with 35% of them are between the ages of 18 and 36 as well as 46% of
their active users identify as female (440,000,000) with 35% being between
the age of 18 and 34. This provides a huge potential audience to promote
their product to which links back to the ‘Target Audience’ section as a M&M
Computers target audience are both genders between the ages of 18 and 36.

Another social media platform that is best suited to the clients needs is
Twitter. This is because Twitter has around 320 million active users. As well
as this, 62% of users are between 18 and 49 years old, which like Facebook,
offers an incredibly large potential market for M&M Computers to advertise
their products to.

,5. SMART Targets: We have identified 3 different targets that are measurable
and manageable.
1. The first target will be to gain 30 followers within the first week on both
Facebook and Twitter. (long term)
2. The third target is to ensure that our posts get a few (2) shares on
Facebook and a few shares on Twitter. (short term)




6. M&M Computers are run by Matt and Marie. We have agreed that they will each be
delegated specific tasks that will require them to do things such as creating content
for the social media pages, as well as replying and offering customer support to
users engaging with the posts. They will also have to ensure that they follow the
publishing schedule, social media policy and deal with negative comments
appropriately.




Content Planning and Publishing
1. Target Audience - After researching and discussing the target audience, we
have determined that the M&M Computers' target audience is both genders
between the ages of 18 to 36. Creating content that is gender neutral could
give them a competitive advantage over the competition as the content posted
will be able to be enjoyed by both genders.

2. Researching Content Linked to the Target Audience - As most of the target
audience is part of a younger generation, they may like content and posts that
include memes and provide comedy entertainment which is relevant to the
real word. This could also help increase audience engagement as if they find
the content funny, they may share the post with their friends and relatives
which would increase the business brand awareness as there could be more
people sharing their content. Furthermore, tech related posts that offer
random new content and tips about hardware could increase views and
followers as users may enjoy informative content that's fun to read / watch
while allowing them to expand their knowledge about new technologies.
