Klassieke conditionering is het leren geven van een respons op een stimulus
- Die stimulus komt voor met een andere stimulus (OP) die een reactie uitlokt
- OP = onvoorwaardelijke prikkel --- leidt automatisch tot respons vb voedsel
- OR = onvoorwaardelijke reactie --- automatische respons op de OP vb salivatie
- VP = voorwaardelijke prikkel --- deze prikkel is eerst neutraal, later wordt deze prikkel
gevolgd door de respons (na de conditionering) vb toon
- VR = voorwaardelijke reactie --- de reactie op de VP na het leerproces (na de
conditionering) vb salivatie
1.1 Extinctie of uitdoving
Uitdoving wanneer meerdere malen de VP niet gevolgd wordt door de OP
- VR wordt onderdrukt
- Tegengaan door soms OP opnieuw toe te dienen
Extinctie toegeschreven aan een actief proces van inhibitie
Aangeleerde associatie kan nooit afgeleerd worden
