5. Wat is tijd?

1.1.3 Wat maakt een mens een mens?
Een identiteit maakt deel uit van iemands eigenheid: datgene dat iemand tot
een persoonlijkheid maakt, met een eigen profiel. Dit heeft te maken drie
aspecten:
persoonlijke identiteit (ik)
sociale identiteit (wij)
levensbeschouwelijke identiteit (bron)
1.1.4 Wat heb je nodig om je identiteit te kunnen ontwikkelen?
Taalontwikkeling is belangrijk voor het ontwikkelen van je identiteit. Volgens
Martha Nussbaum zijn de geesteswetenschappen vooral van levensbelang voor
een menswaardige maatschappij. Voor een pluralistische democratie zijn burgers
nodig die zelfstandig kunnen denken. Kennis van geschiedenis en sociale
wetenschappen is een belangrijke voorwaarde voor democratisch burgerschap.
