, Inleiding
In dit werkstuk is verslag gedaan van de ‘mental toughness’ van Luca Ruijs. Er is
volgens een vast stappenplan gewerkt zoals hieronder beschreven. Hierbij is
gebruik gemaakt van de beschikbare informatie uit minor Sport Psychologie en
andere externe bronnen. Deze zijn volgens de APA-normen vermeld.
Allereest was er een field trip bestaande uit vragenlijsten en een interview.
Hierbij was het hoofdthema de sportpsychologie met als belangrijkste deelthema’
de ‘mental toughness’. Daarbij kwamen ook de thema’s motivatie, wedstrijdangst
en imagery voorbij.
Daarna zijn de uitkomsten van de vragenlijsten en interview geanalyseerd en
tegen de literatuur gehouden. Hierbij hadden de onderzoekers het doel te
achterhalen welke ‘skills’ bij Luca ontbreken of waar behoefte aan was om te
verbeteren.
Vervolgens werd een zeer concreet en persoonlijk ‘psychological skill’
trainingsprogramma ontwikkelt waarbij gelet werd op hoe lang, waar, wanneer,
met wie, enzovoorts.
Tot slot werd een samenvatting geschreven waarin al stappen nogmaals opsomt
werden samen met de belangrijkste bevindingen en aanbevelingen ondersteunt
vanuit de literatuur.
