Levels of measurement (Data)The different kinds of data that participants produce (Refers to PPS actual scores)
Nominal - Data in categories (nominal scale/data). E.g tall, short, medium can be put into three
categories.
Frequency count: Each category has a count of the number in that category.
Ordinal - The data is ordered in some way (ordinal scale/data). E.g rate how much you like
Psychology on a scale of 1-10
Interval - The data produced will be an actual amount and has a true zero. It is measured using
units of equal intervals or a scale e.g., using time, distance, temperature.
Ratio - has a true zero point.
