PS1810 – WEEK 9 – Left brain – right brain?The grain of truth:
The hemispheres are not identical in their anatomy of function
Individual differences exist. Some people are more creative, others more logical for example
BUT:
- There is no evidence that these differences are based on hemispheric “dominance”.
Most complex cognitive tasks engage both hemispheres. The normal brain works in an
integrated fashion (Corballis, 2007; Gazzaniga, 1998)
