Delay not to exceed 30 seconds. Unlatching shall not require more than one operation. Sign with instructions required. Dementia Loss of intellectual function (thinking, remembering, reading, exercising judgement and making decisions) and other cognitive functions. Dementia is not a disease itself but a group of symptoms that may accompany certain conditions or diseases including alzheimer's disease. Requests are made to the licensing agency by an applicant or licensee. Facility Hospice Care Waiver A waiver from the limitation on retention of residents who require more care and supervision than other residents and residents who are bedridden other than for a temporary illness. Permits the retention in a facility of a designated maximum number of terminally ill residents who are receiving hospice services from a hospice agency. Healing wounds Includes cuts, stage one and two dermal ulcers (as diagnosed by physician) and incisions that are being treated by an appropriately skilled professional with the affected area returning to its normal state. They may involve breaking or laceration of the skin and usually damage to the underlying tissues.
