Unit 4, Assignment 3 .
My third assignment will include a diary of my event which will cover the staging, planning,
and the management of the event. It will also include the success of our aims and objectives,
and also the strengths and weaknesses of it. We will explain the management of
contingencies whilst also making recommendations for improvements for these
contingencies.
I will look at what things went well at the football event and what could be improved. I also
included how this will be done.
Lastly, I will take a look at my contributions to the event which involves the tasks that I took
up, and the demonstration of great management skills both throughout the arranging and
staging of the event.
I will end off with a short, yet detailed conclusion.

My Diary of the Event .
Planning, Staging and Management .
3 NOVEMBER 2021
To begin with, my group and I had to decide what our event would be based on, and we
agreed to do a football event.
The planning included finding a venue for this event. We came up with Trinity Green as it
has a football pitch on its premises. It also had indoor courts which would deal with any
interruptions with the weather. Within coming weeks would we book our place here.

We agreed that our budget should be at most £50-£75, which will mostly be covering our
costs of refreshment supplies. It would also cover any venue and equipment costs. My group
decided that this should be enough, and that it’s likely we will have some of the budget
leftover.

We needed to think of the equipment required for our event. We realised we would need a
football and also a backup football, just in case ours gets lost or stolen. We would also need
two football nets. We also wanted to have our venue supplied with benches and chairs so
spectators aren’t standing – it would improve their experience.
13 NOVEMBER 2021
This week, we settled on our event to include a stall which would offer refreshments, such as
water and lemonade, crisps, and other snacks to everyone on the side to increase the
fullness of it.
