The National Sea life Centre
Introduction:
For the first part of M2 I am going to talk about Sea life and how they interrelate with
other companies. First off, we visited the national sea life centre in Birmingham on
the 2nd of November. They have been around since 1996, which makes this year
their 20th anniversary. Sea life is owned by Merlin entertainment- which is owned by
Blackstone company. Merlin entertainment is not only the biggest European
entertainment company in all of Europe, but the 2nd biggest entertainment company
in the world, just below Disney world company. As well as sea life, Merlin
entertainment own several other attractions such as Thorpe park, Alton towers etc.
In total, merlin entertainment run 116 attractions in 24 countries worldwide. The
types of tourists that this organisation was aimed at are domestic tourist. However,
occasionally they do receive inbound tourists too.

Although the attractions industry is very competitive, sometimes the best thing to do
