Glabella:
Ligt vlak boven het nasium, kan je voelen als een drempel.
Bregma:
Kruispunt tussen sutura coronalis (scheiding os frontale en os parietale) en sutura sagittalis
(scheidt beide ossa parietale).
Pterion:
Op het einde van de sutura coronalis.
Kruispunt tussen de schedelnaden, boven de oren en iets naar ventraal voelen.
Deze botstukken komen hier samen: os frontale, os parietale, os temporale en os sphenoidale.
Asterion:
Kruispunt tussen sutura lambdoidea (scheiding tussen os parietale en os occipitale), sutura
occipitomastoideus en sutura squamosus.
Lambda:
Kruising tussen sutura saggitalis en sutura lambdoidea.
Orbita:
Oogkast.
