Argumentative TextSchool uniforms have always been a hot topic. In this text I’m going to lay out a
few pros and cons to help make ups your own opinion about it.
On one hand, school uniforms may not be suitable you if fashion is a way to
express yourself. Looking similar, school uniforms are often t boring. You can’t
show that you’re a fan of that band or that your favourite color is pink though
clothing. Furthermore, since everyone looks the same, you would a lot of
trouble finding your best friend if they’d ever get lost in a crowd of students.
Being mandatory, school uniforms might be uncomfortable on days with
abnormal weather. They could also be discriminatory towards certain of a
certain religious belief. For example, some Muslims can’t wear school uniforms
if they are short /sleeved.
ON the other hand, an important fact to consider is the fact that school
uniforms save a lot of time. You’d never have to choose what to wear nor would
you ever have to debate with the teacher about the school’s dress-code. Some
further benefits that come with school uniforms are that it is easy yo identify
people from the school, thus helping to eliminate threats. School uniforms also
contribute to reduce social differences. You can't tell if person’s social
circumstances just by looking at them. Poor kids can feel included, because
there is no visual visual difference between all the kids. Last but not least,
school uniforms cost significantly less, because this reduces need for multiple
outfits, which helps save a lot of money.
In conclusion, II personally prefer having school uniforms. Being indecisive,
school uniforms are perfect for me since I don’t have to spend time choosing
what to wear.
