My first client is Leo he is 7 and lives with his grandma and her children and has done since
he was born. He was born 8 weeks prematurely and suffered with 2 hernias not long after
he was born, this meant he had to have an operation to fix the problem. He used to visit the
doctors a lot growing up as he had a very low immune system and was often ill. he attended
nursery and school as normal but would occasionally have to have time off due to being ill
but the doctors said this was simply because his immune system wasn’t as good as a normal
child’s should be. After many doctors’ visits a doctor told his grandma that the reason he
always had severe coughs and chest infections was because he had a severe case of asthma.

Common signs and symptoms of asthma include Coughing and Coughing from asthma often
is worse at night or early in the morning, making it hard to sleep, which is what his grandma
said was one of the main issues. Wheezing is also a common sign\symptom, Wheezing is a
whistling or squeaky sound that occurs when you breathe. Chest tightness is also a very
significant sign that you may have asthma. Shortness of breath could also be a common
indictor that you may have asthma. Some people who have asthma say they can't catch

(including type and frequency of symptoms), and a physical exam.

Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes (airways) that causes swelling and
constriction of the airways, which results in breathing difficulties. The bronchial narrowing is
usually either totally or at least partially reversible with treatments. In an asthma attack,
contraction of the smooth muscle of the bronchial walls is accompanied by swelling of the
bronchial tubes and the excessive secretion of mucus by the bronchial glands. The mucus in
turn obstructs or plugs the bronchial airways, thus causing the symptoms of an asthma
attack. Bronchial tubes that are chronically inflamed may become overly sensitive to
allergens or irritants. Asthma ranges in severity from intermittent mild symptoms to a
severe, incapacitating, and life-threatening disorder. The symptoms are reversible, either
spontaneously or with treatment; however, death may result if the asthmatic episode is not
managed properly.

The respiratory system is a biological system consisting of specific organs and structures
used for the process of respiration in an organism. The respiratory system is involved in the
intake and exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between an organism and the
environment. The immune system is the bodily system that protects the body from foreign
substances, cells, and tissues by producing the immune response and that includes
especially the thymus, spleen, lymph nodes, special deposits of lymphoid tissue (as in the
