Conjunctiva
is
eigenlijk
de
binnenbekleding
van
de
oogleden.
Drie
delen
van
de
conjunctiva:
-‐ Palpebrale
conjunctiva;
-‐ Conjunctivale
fornix;
-‐ Bulbaire
conjunctiva.
Bij
een
ontsteking
kan
iemand
beweren
dat
hij/zij
pijn
heeft
‘achter
de
ogen’.
Het
corpus
alienum
zit
dan
in
principe
in
de
fornix,
het
hoekje
bovenin.
De
conjunctiva
is
een
groot
onderdeel
van
het
oog.
Het
heeft
een
behoorlijk
grote
oppervlakte
(tot
wel
1,3
cm
boven
het
oog).
Plica
semilunaris:
derde
ooglid,
membraan
dat
ook
openschuift
als
de
ogen
opengaan
en
los
van
de
oogleden
dicht
kan
sluiten.

traanfilm
plakkerig
maken,
bevindt
zich
in
de
epitheellaag;

lymfoid
weefsel:
bevindt
zich
in
de
stroma.
Conjunctivitis,
ontsteking
en
afweer
Twee
meest
voorkomende
vormen
conjunctivitis:
-‐ Trachoom:
slijmvlies
ontsteekt
door
chlamydia
trachomatis
(GEEN
GESLACHTSZIEKTE).
Hierdoor
komt
er
littekenweefsel
dat
ervoor
zorgt
dat
wimpers
de
cornea
in
gaan
groeien
die
er
op
zijn
tijd
weer
voor
zorgen
dat
de
cornea
littekens
krijgt
waardoor
iemand
uiteindelijk
blind
raakt.
