EXAMINER’S INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Answer all the questions.
(a) Answers must be concise, to the point, and substantive.
(b) All answers must be in complete sentences.
(c) Language must be clear and grammatically correct.
(d) Spelling must conform to the rules of UK or South African English.
(e) Answers must be typed in Times New Roman font, in 12 pt. font size, with single
line spacing.
2. Answer documents must be submitted in MS Word-format. No PDF files are permitted.
3. Answer documents must be uploaded onto iKamva by no later than 15:00 on the day of
the examination. If you are unable to upload your answer document onto iKamva, you
may email it to Dr A. Booley at abooley@uwc.ac.za and Mr A. Miggels at
amiggels@uwc.ac.za by no later than 15:00 on the day of the examination. Answer
documents, either uploaded onto iKamva or emailed to Dr A. Booley and Mr A.
Miggels, received after the stipulated time will not be assessed and no marks will be
awarded for those answers.
4. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR NAME, SURNAME AND STUDENT NUMBER
APPEAR CORRECTLY ON THE ANSWER DOCUMENT.
5. Plagiarism is a violation of academic integrity and is not permitted. Students who
plagiarise or copy verbatim from each other or any other published work are in
violation of UWC’s Student Disciplinary Rules and may be subjected to a disciplinary
process.
6. This is an official University assessment and therefore all communication with, and
assistance to, other students writing this assessment is STRICTLY PROHIBITED for
the entire duration of the assessment.
7. Students may NOT communicate with each other in any way (e.g., through WhatsApp,
voice notes, via email, telegram, etc) during the assessment.
